It was Mrs. Eidlinger’s idea: we should learn about students and their school conditions in other countries. It’s a pretty nice idea.
At first we had to write a description about us and our life, our hobbies etc. Our pen-pals also wrote about their traditions and their school system, which is much different as we thought. Sure, the students learned many things about Austria, too.
It was always exciting to open the letters, and to read what our friends reported. But we had to wait a long time until we got the letters. It could take weeks but it was worth it.
Some of our American friends also have private contact with us, for example on Instagram.
To this day we write to them and it’s going well. I hope the project will go on for a long time.
