On the 24th of November our class went cooking instead of sitting and studying in class. We bought the ingredients for our dishes some days before the cooking class. There were 4-5 groups, and every group prepared a different meal or drink. We made cake pops, soup, “cheesy broom sticks”, sushi, wraps, filled zucchini and fruity Halloween punch with frozen hands in it!
Since we do not have a kitchen at our school, we went to the “Volkshochschule”, which is situated opposite our school building, where we could work in a big kitchen. When we got there, we walked up to the 3rd floor. We had prepared cards with the recipes for our food on them and presented the recipes to our classmates. After everyone had introduced their recipe, we started cooking. We used pans, pots, cutting boards, bowls and much more. After we had finished our dishes, we put them on the table and got plates, forks, spoons, and knives to eat. Everyone took whatever they wanted to eat. Everything tasted good. After we had finished eating, we loaded the dishwasher and cleaned the room. Afterwards we returned to our school.
Cooking with our class was great fun!
