This year we had a project in English class. I call it the “pen-pal-from Ireland”. In the middle of the year we had to do a task of writing a letter to a pen pal who was unknown at that time. Our teacher made sure that the letters also arrived in Ireland. I was always very excited about my letter and today on the 25th of January, 2023 we got an answer. Our teacher called it a surprise and it was a surprise! My pen- pal wrote me a letter in very good German and I learned a lot about him and Ireland. Our teacher is still taking care of getting the email addresses from these students. I think that’s very nice of her!

This semester we did a great project with our English teacher. In autumn we wrote a letter for Irish students and our teacher Ms. Prankl sent it to a school there. Today, every one of our class got a letter back. We wrote it in English and they wrote it in German. I think that was a great idea to improve our English and get to know people from other countries. I think it was very exciting and we gained a lot of experience in communicating with other people or traditions. It was really cool and I can recommend to every one to get a pen-pal!
